ALIA MAKES FULANI MAN COUNCILOR IN GBOKO
…Preparing him as future governor
Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has fulfilled one more part of the deal he signed with Fulani who supported his election with N7 billion. The governor has made a Fulani man named Muazu Muhammad the Councilor representing Gboko Central/Market Ward in Gboko Local Government Area of the state.
Inner sources have revealed that the emergence of Muazu as councilor was part of the meeting between Governor Alia and former Kaduna governor Nasir El Rufai in May this year which ended around 2am at Government House Makurdi.
Before Fulani elites raised the N7 billion and supported his campaign in 2023, Alia promised to not only protect Fulani interests in the state but also groom one of their sons to emerge as governor of Benue State in future. The making of Muazu as a councilor is only the first step. Next, the young man will contest for one of the House of Assembly seats under Gboko and will be supported by Governor Alia to win.
Governor Alia plans to force the removal of either Hon. Becky Orpin of Gboko East Constituency in the State House of Assembly, or the immediate past Speaker Aondona Dajoh of Gboko West to make way for a by-election in which he will bankroll the victory of the Fulani agent Muazu. This will adequately prepare the young man for the governorship seat in 2031.
Alia is working for the Fulani. He is their agent in Government House, Makurdi. His mission is to ensure that Fulani jihadists and expansionists take over Benue lands. It is part of the deal he signed with Fulani elites coordinated on behalf of the Sultan by Nasir El Rufai.
Governor Alia, a catholic priest who abandoned his calling and greedily jumped into politics to become a wealthy man has sold his people and his conscience! He has stained the priestly cassock and no amount of water with detergent can remove the stain. Alia has blood on his hands; the blood of innocent Benue people. Those who are being killed die knowing that they have been betrayed by a man they voted into power. Many of the victims of Fulani voted for Alia in 2023 because he deceived them that he would protect them.
Since Governor Alia came to power, all he has done is defend Fulani interests. Whenever Fulani jihadists attack and kill Benue people, he turns around and accuses his people of being cattle rustlers. He has, on different occasions, accused those he tags as “Abuja politicians,” as well as respected religious leaders in the state, of being “bandits” and sponsors of the attacks. Whenever Fulani terrorists kill a large number of people, he quickly downplays the casualty figures. Alia doesn’t want Fulani to be blamed for anything.
Governor Alia is saying nothing and doing nothing to stop the killings. He is indeed happy that he is fulfilling his side of the agreement with Fulani. The Sokoto Caliphate is very impressed with Governor Alia’s “good work” in Benue State. Fulani leadership has promised the Benue governor that they will make sure that he gets a second term so he can complete the “wonderful job” he is doing for the Fulani.
Miyetti Allah and Fulani Nationality Movement (FUNAM) as well as several other Fulani groups have at different times publicly expressed their satisfaction and commendation of Governor Alia for doing exactly what he promised he would do for the Fulani in Benue State.
Fulani terrorists have taken over more than 18 local governments in Benue State, yet Governor Alia constantly claims that only two local governments are under attack. The people of Benue State can no longer access their ancestral homes. More than two million people have been displaced under Alia’s watch, with IDP camps swelling, yet the governor remains unconcerned. He promised to return the IDPs to their ancestral lands within his first 100 days in office, but he failed to do so.
Governor Alia is receiving the highest security votes in the country but is refusing to use the funds to protect the people. The removal of fuel subsidy has made funds abundantly available to the state government, but the governor is hoarding the money for his personal use and has refused to clear the backlog of salaries, pensions, and gratuities, even though all other governors have since settled these obligations in their states. No one knows what Alia is doing with the state’s resources. He has not completed even one project despite being in his third year in office.
Governor Alia should know that the people of Benue State have carefully observed his actions, utterances, and repeated insults. He has branded our people as cattle rustlers and killers of their loved ones. At the appropriate time, we, the people, will respond to him in the language he will understand!
